" A diamond in the rough "

I was surprised when I went in.
I thought , How could such a small looking house have enough room for kids to play ? But I was pleasantly surprised. It only looks small from the front..

They built their center onto the back of their house, and it has a large shaded playground.

We built our center Discovery Kids World onto the back of our house. The house is small, but Our center is much bigger. It was designed specifically for children to learn and have fun.

When you walk into the center you see the office. In the office their is a computer,a reading, and a listening center as well as a space for coats and shoes.

The main classroom is divided into learning centers. The Science is off to the left side along with the Writing, Art, and Sensory centers. If you walk straight in you will see the Math and Manipulative center. Behind that is the Music, Dramatic Play, and Block centers. We also have a banana tree and tomatoes growing in the school room.

A smaller classroom is off to the side of the main classroom. It is used for several different activities. It has 2 cribs, a soft play side, balls, and a ball pit. When infants are on the floor in the room, walkers and older children are not. When infants are brought into the main school area, the walkers and older children use it for a large motor activity area.

Our vegetable and fruit garden, extends from the front yard to the side, and then into the backyard. The children love to water the plants and watch them grow and then eat what they have been helping to grow.

In the backyard we have a large shaded playground that has swings, slides, climbers, rocking toys, spinning toys, balls, digging toys, a three sided easel, wagons, and tricycles. We have a cement path that goes around to the front yard, where older kids are allowed to ride with supervision of course.
